Day 1 – Crucial Last Words

If you have not read the introduction of the previous page, please do so before you begin.

Before you actually begin this plan for Bible study, please take a few minutes to write in your notebook what your baptism into Jesus Christ meant to you.

  • Why did you do it?
  • What has changed because of your decision?

Keep this statement in a safe place and refer to often. Even as the years pass it will serve as a powerful reminder to you of the significance the last words a person speaks usually tell us a lot about the major things on that person’s heart.

Turn to Matthew 28:18-20 and read again the final commission of Jesus Christ before he left this world.

  • What does it mean that Jesus has all authority over you?
  • How do you feel about that?
  • Where is he telling you that he wants you to ‘go’?
  • What does he want you to do with the life he has given you?
  • Who in your life heard Jesus “go” and went to you?
  • How do you feel about them because of it?
